Our Water Toy

Two weeks ago Mrs. Porcari brought in a liquid timer/toy for our friends to observe and play with. All of our students loved watching the liquid drip and shaking it to see what happened. Since there was only one we had to work on taking turns and sharing our toy. Unfortunately our toy broke after only having it for one week. We decided as a class that we should try to make one. Take a look at how we created our toy.

We had our students try a new iPad attachment called Osmo. It had a game that related very well to our toy. Our students had to come up with ways to get the dropping balls to hit a target. At first they used paper and pencil then we moved on to different materials. The students worked very well helping each other out. 

After discussing what materials we needed and coming up with different designs we were now ready to create our new toy.
