SLIME

Throughout the year our students have been exposed to different sensory experiences. We find that students learn best through "hands on" experiences.  We have provided sand, water, play dough, shredded paper, paper mâché and now SLIME...

Here are a few things that we've learned about slime,

* slime is also known as flubber
* slime breaks apart easily
* once the slime is put back together it will form back into a solid
* slime can be stretched apart

Here is the recipe if you would like to make some slime at home,

1. Mix together 3/4 cup warm water, 1 cup white glue and several drops of green food colouring in the first bowl.
2. In the second bowl, mix together 4 teaspoons borax and 1 1/3 cups warm water.
3. Pour the contents of the first bowl into the second, but don't stir. Let it sit for 2 minutes, then mix the now congealed slime out of the bowl (there may be some water left over). Store it in an air tight container after play.
